I am a self-taught printmaker specializing in block printed textiles.

I’ve always been a student of beauty… charmed by color, line, and pattern and striving to internalize what makes something nice to look at. This is undoubtedly a lifelong journey, one that began with drawing on school desks and tracing faces in the Avon catalogue and has taken many forms since then. However, nothing has captured my heart like printmaking. I love every step in the process: drawing the design, carving the block, hand-selecting fabric, printing, stretching, and framing.

I strive to hold the sensual and the ascetic in poise; drawing from nature as well as industry. The rolling hills of my native California, a manhole cover in the French Riviera, a dining table at the end of a meal, a feeling… anything can inspire. That said, it is not what influences me but how my work influences the viewer that matters most. My humble aspiration is to create art that makes people feel good.

When you buy a print from me, you are getting a completely original work of art and craftsmanship.  And due to the nature of block printing by hand, each piece has slight imperfections that make it one-of-a-kind.
